How to Make your own Soap Bubble Solution

Materials Needed
  • Liquid dishwashing soap
  • Glycerin
  • Water
  • Water or soda bottle for storage

Some bubble solution works better than others. Have you ever tried to make bubbles using just dish soap? They didn't work too well, did they? Well, we have the recipe for making great bubbles.

  1. Use a plastic water or soda bottle to mix your bubble solution

  2. Pour in one part soap

  3. Pour in four parts water

  4. Pour in about 1/2 teaspoon glycerin per liter of solution

  5. Mix up the solution and you are ready to start blowing bubbles.

Try making interesting shaped bubbles by bending wire coat hangers into fun shapes and dipping them into a shallow pan or pie plate filled with your bubble solution.

*Food Grade Glycerin is available in drugstores and some supermarkets. It is a safe product that is used in foods and lotions. When diluted with water it is not harmful to consume. Undiluted glycerin absorbs moisture and can cause blistering if taken internally.
